My story, “The Sweetest Skill”, guest-narrated by John Meagher, is a finalist for the Parsec Award for Best Short Story-Small Cast! A big thanks to John Meagher and Scott H. Andrews for their help in bringing the audio version of the story to life.
BCS 173: The Sweetest Skill

The Parsec Award winners will be announced September 4 at DragonCon.
I did an interview about my story, “Our Chymical Seance”, in Clockwork Canada. Part 1 has been posted.

“The Sweetest Skill” is now out at Beneath Ceaseless Skies! It’s the third story to feature the candyman Ao, and the audio version is another awesome telling by John Meagher.
For those of you who may be thinking about nominating works for the Aurora Awards this year, please consider the short story “Cosmobotica” by Costi Gurgu and Tony Pi, which first appeared in THE MAMMOTH BOOK OF DIESELPUNK (edited by Sean Wallace). Here’s a review of the story. There will be a free audio version available soon at StarshipSofa. Thank you.

My poem “A Hex, With Bees” won the 2015 Aurora Award in the Best English Poem/Song category! Many thanks to the editors and publisher of Wrestling With Gods: Tesseracts 18 (Jerome Stueart and Liana Kerzner, and Brian Hades at EDGE).
I didn’t win in the Short Fiction category but my good friend Eric Choi did. Congratulations Eric, and to Julie Czerneda for the Best Novel win, and everyone else who won.
(That’s my ankle in a cast next to the trophy – I guess I took ‘break a leg’ too literally.)
